This was seen in a village near Ramanagara on the evening of Makara Sankranthi as we were exploring the surroundings before the event of making the oxen cross the fire. The house was painted very colourfully and as per the custom in such villages, an oil lamp was lit at dusk and kept in the specific place made for it in the outer wall. A boy, taking some rest amidst the evening play, sat there looking at his friends. The frame was almost there in front of me – all I had to do was to focus and click.
