Technique
Exposed for the brightly illuminated mountains to protect the golden highlights, intentionally allowing the camel riders and foreground to remain in deep shadow. The dust kicked up by the camels adds atmosphere, depth and separation between the foreground and the mountains.

As the last light of the day washes the rugged mountains of Nubra Valley in gold, a caravan of Bactrian camels emerges from the cool shadows below. The drifting dust, silhouetted riders and immense scale of the mountains create a striking contrast between movement and stillness. Exposing for the sunlit peaks preserved the warm highlights while allowing the foreground to fall naturally into shadow, emphasizing the drama and grandeur of this high-altitude desert landscape.
