During the festival, families welcome statues of Ganesha into their homes with love, using different modes of transport.

The Lord is not fussy and willing to be with you, however you welcome him.

At the end of the festival, they immerse the statues in water (Visarjan).

This action teaches that life moves in a cycle of creation and return to nature.
